Reviewing Your Website Help

We provide one website review period that is active for 72 hours for our Standard Build websites.

We send review links around 11am EST on the date that you select your review window to start.

This means that if you select your review to start on a Friday date, it will end on Monday morning.

To keep your website build on track so that you can start enjoying the benefits of our websites as quickly as possible, we only provide one website review period for you to submit any edit requests.

However, because our websites are self-managed, once your website is launched, you will be given login credentials to access your WordPress website and continue to make changes as your business grows.

Although our review platform, Pastel, allows you to click and comment exactly where you’d like a change done, sometimes we don’t interpret your request correctly. 

Don’t worry! Once you receive your Docket Customer Marketing: Website Edit Approval Needed email, let us know if something wasn’t done right and we can correct it.

Once you complete your review period, our team will go through your edits and complete them as long as they are within our scope of work.
Then, we will send you your website draft link back to you, showing you the completed edits.

Once you receive this email, you can either respond letting us know that the website is ready to go-live, OR let us know that an edit you requested wasn’t done quite as you wanted, and we will correct any incorrectly done edit requests.

Yes.

Our websites are built from a customized template. Because of this, we don’t allow edit requests that are ‘customized’.

Additionally, we build your website draft based on the information you provide on the website submission form. If you don’t provide content or images on the website submission form, we don’t have access to your content and you will need to provide it during your website review.

Here are some examples of edits we can’t complete: 

• Adding new pages or sections to your website
  • Can you add a page for what can/can’t go in a dumpster?
    • We don’t create new pages or sections outside of what is on your selected template.
• Adding features that don’t exist on the template 
  • Can you add a chatbot feature?
    • We don’t install additional plugins or add features to your website outside of what is on it.
• Graphic design requests
  • Can you use the stock image for the dumpsters, but add my dumpster dimensions around the edges?
    • You will need to provide any and all content or images to be used on the website, or we can keep the stock images/content that the website comes with.
• Requests without required content
  • Can you change this sentence so it isn’t so long?
    • You will need to type out exactly what you’d want the sentence to say.
  • Replace this picture.
    • You will need to attach the photo that you’d like in place of the current photo.

Here are some examples of common edit requests we’ve gotten that our team can complete:

• Can you swap out this photo with this one?
  • Replacement photo is attached to comment.
• Can you change this sentence to “Lakewood’s Best Dumpster Rentals”?
• Can you add a bullet under my dumpster that says “7 day rentals available”?
• Please use this logo instead.
  • Logo file is attached to comment.
• Can you make the header of all my pages white?
• Please add a 14 yard dumpster to my Dumpsters page. Rental is available for 7 days, price is $350, and we do same day delivery.

You can either let your 72 hour window run out, or just respond to the email containing your website review link once you are done reviewing your website if you finish before your window closes.

Our team keeps track of when we send review links, so as soon as you let us know you are done or your review window closes, we get to work on your edits. It typically takes about 1-2 business days for our team to complete your edits. 

Once we’re done, we will email you letting you know you are ready to review the completed edits.

Please do not worry if we didn’t do an edit correctly. Just let us know, and we can correct any changes that weren’t done as intended.
